Donations

Every year McKenzie Mendel Jewelry donates to charitable organizations.  Since my work is mostly purchased in the United States and by women, I have chosen organizations that support women and girls in and out of marginalized communities in America.

As a personal rule, I do not state my political opinions in my work or in public. My jewelry is my way of expressing myself on a deep level that is sometimes very personal. Because of its abstract nature, my work can be interpreted in many different ways. This allows my art to be accessible to people of contrasting backgrounds and life experiences beyond where it started with me. Because of this, I feel that it is my responsibility to display my work to you as a break from the world's noise and elicit an emotion other than dread, worry or confusion. Art is a powerful healing tool and if it is created from my soul with the intention to evoke a positive emotion, then I hope that it can reach you on that level.

Jewelry is not a necessity but instead a functional piece of art that we choose to wear. A small form of self expression that signifies a milestone or has no other meaning besides making us feel beautiful and confident. I am honored that my work touches so many people and plays a role in empowering women. So why not share the love!
